D3O, the Impact Protection company, was established in 2001 by Richard Palmer, a successful design consultant and a graduate of both the Royal College of Art and Imperial College. D3O was a result of the combination of enhanced chemistry, engineering and design, which became the unique patented impact protection system that is D3O.
D3O products were born out of the Olympic athletes’ requirements for complete flexibility and control, with no compromise on protection. Spyder were the first to use the patented material in their kit for the US and Canadian ski teams in the 2006 Winter Olympics.
Today D3O supplies motorcycle, defence, electronics, sports and footwear markets. We work with a number of global brands, including:
