d3o was among one of the winners of the 2009 Focus Award recognising the best of British innovation!

Focus drew up a shortlist of particularly imaginative ideas, the list was then handed over to Focus's panel of judges to make the final dscision. Amongst the judges were:

Sir James Dyson - Dyson founder and chairman

Jem Stansfield - BBC Bang Goes The Theory presenter

This week we have been touring the Highlands of Scotland with our good friends Gore-Tex product testing with some of the best journalists in the industry.

At this event Gore-Tex launched their new durably waterproof closure system that is set to revolutionise motorcycle apparel. The closure system named LOCKOUT is a polyurethane runner that is extremely durable even in a harsh slide across the tarmac, it's also completely waterproof. It's easy to use, looks cool and has a silent action - an altogether very sexy product. Gore-Tex used a new d3o pad which is super light and flexible and is coated with SuperFabric for "second chance" abrasion resistance protection.
