First established in 1902, Triumph Motorcycles celebrated 115 years of motorcycle manufacture in 2017. For more than two decades, Triumph has been based in Hinckley, Leicestershire, and has produced iconic bikes that perfectly blend authentic design, character, charisma and performance.

Triumph Clothing

The Triumph clothing design process is extensive and rigorous. Beginning with analysing customer trends, sales results and performance requirements to set the range plan for the upcoming season.

The dedicated clothing team at Triumph focus on the performance, the function and the ergonomics of the clothing so customers can simply enjoy their ride.

The Approach

The Triumph clothing team had received feedback from customers about wanting protection in their motorcycle clothing, but that it needed to be soft, flexible and discreet within the garment. D3O® was the perfect fit.

There are Triumph customers all over the world, riding in extreme cold, extreme heat and everything in between. D3O® works in a wide range of temperatures, staying soft and supple at very cold temperatures, but is also lightweight meaning that you don’t feel smothered when it is hot.

The Solution

Triumph originally started using D3O® in their garments only. Positive customer feedback and an extension in the D3O® range allowed a natural progression from garments to gloves. Triumph was the first motorcycle manufacturer to incorporate D3O® into riding gloves.

Recently, Triumph have expanded their range to offer D3O® ankle protectors in their boots. Many of their boots have the appearance of a fashion boot yet are all CE certified for motorcycle riding.

Ultimately, Triumph clothing containing D3O® creates comfortable and stylish riding garments that look just as good off the bike as on the bike yet contain all the functional requirements that you would want for a motorcycle garment. Triumph customers praise the soft and flexible fit that D3O® offers within their garments.
