Wednesday 12th May 2021 – D3O®, the world’s leading impact protection company, is delighted to announce the appointment of Richard Harfoot as Head of Motosports.
Harfoot brings to this new role within D3O an incredible range of expertise and experience across the motorsports world, having grown D3O’s motorcycle portfolio globally over the past 9 years working with leading brands including Furygan, Triumph, KLIM and Richa and helping to embed D3O as number one protection brand globally.
His appointment reflects D3O’s commitment to motorsports applications, where his focus will be on the continued growth of D3O in the motorsports sector, while also driving new and emerging subsectors such as Formula 1, e-scooters, e-bikes and commuting.
As well as building strategic partnerships, Harfoot will also lead the way on safety standards, including making the process of implementation of new motorcycle PPE standard UKCA to replace CE in Great Britain as smooth as possible for D3O® partner brands. This will be carried out through education and ensuring all relevant D3O® parts are fully compliant at least 6 months ahead of the end of the transition period.
